Yup right you are. Looks like a few ppl have gotten it going. Credit to Mini for those who care about that. I for one struggle to hear a difference between lossless and 156kbs AAC in my home system, so I can't see how I would hear any improvement in the car.

Yeah I wondered about that. I ripped some of my classic CDs to Apple Lossless and put them on my iPod in the car. It takes like 0.5gb per album. Sounds great but that may be overkill for a car or anywhere.

That should have read 256kbs.

There's more than a bit of psychology involved in high end audio. People will convince themselves of anything. I recently saw a post on avsfoum where the guy was convinced he could hear sonic improvement from having his speaker cable elevated off the ground by these little stands.

I also firmly believe that my sound system sounds better to me now because I've gotten used to it.

Good afternoon all... First post to this site, and first time Mini owner as well. 15' MCS Thunder Grey. Quick question for you. I'm in the midst of downloading my itunes library on a 64G thumb drive. I don't see any way to be able to shuffle songs in the settings. All songs are in alphabetical order. Can I shuffle similar to itunes, or does that option not transfer to the drive, just raw song files. TIA Dano

Thank you DarkBlue. I'll have to look for that option. Admittedly I've been in possesion of the car for 5 days now, so lots to learn.
