First of all, let me thank all of you who made it out to our July Drive to Papa Boudreaux's. Great cars, great food, and great company - what more could you ask for!
Now, for August I really liked Dale's suggestion of an ice cream run. . .but to where is the question. Give me some suggestions and let's see what we can cook up for next month.
If you can keep it on a Saturday since it's hard for Deb and I to make it there on a week day/night. There's that thing called "work" that interferes with everything fun.
Also try to keep it located somewhat in the south Nashville/Smyrna/Murfreesboro area so us folk from down south can attend easily.
I'll see what I can find in the Murfreesboro area this time. There are some great roads out here by my house that we could ride and I'm only 15 minutes from Murfreesboro proper.
Okay, we'll do Murfreesboro, but after shelbyville, franklin and murf, the west nashville portion of this crew will be looking for a local run sometime soon.

I could go for some ice cream...don't need to but what the hell...there's still some room in the seatbelt. I was telling a lady in our travel & tourism section about the drive and she told me about www.tntrailsandbyways.com. I haven't been on it extensively but saw Papa Boudreaux's on Tn Trace. Thought it might be helpful.
Okay. . .haven't been able to look for a good ice cream place yet but I'm sure I can find something suitable. As for the roads, well. . .I travel the roads I have in mind everyday so mapping a route will be easy cheesy.
I'm thinking August the 28th. . .a farewell to summer drive. Does that date sound okay with everyone?
I could do the 14th or the 21st, but not the 28th. i have a Scout camping weekend with my son. no issues though. if it makes sense for everyone else. i'll just have to catch the "hello to fall run".
well, check that. Kimberly just peeked over my shoulder and said that she may get out if ya do it on the 28th. She doesn't like the stick shift, but it'll have to do until she is able find Penelope (her future mini)
Hal and Dawn, we're in, unless my daughter changes her mind (if she can find it!) or whatever. Need a hard date (August 28th sounds good) and around what time?
How long a drive is it after getting to the Murf.?
Later,

Well. . HELLO, Bill!
August 28th is the date since everyone seems okay with that. I'm thinking we should meet about 1:00 in the Triune area. Haven't timed the route yet but would like to do 45 mins to an hour ride out in my neck of woods where some nice twisties live and then ice cream in the 'Boro. You could be back home in time for supper.
