Could there be a "Under the hood section" or an "Engine"...

I dont really think engine mods (CAI, Headers, engine things) under drivetrain.. maybe thats just me.

and maybe a "custom" field maybe for the oddball things that makes the Mini "special"...

I agree with changing drivetrain to underhood or something of that type. Also, maybe a space for timeslips/track times?
Overall I liked the layout of the submission area. I assume the images you upload next to each upgrade will be shown with that upgrade list in the actual garage people view?

Thanks for the feedback, this is great, please keep it coming. One of the reason we went with a rollout only to Alliance Members was to get feedback since this is your Garage, we want to build it in a mannner you like and will use.

Link to GNAT's Garage

The link above will take you to 1 of my Garage Spaces.

When a someone on NAM clicks on the Garage Link in the header (located on the right side under the Gallery link) a small box will pop up with each vehicle an Alliance Member has in their Garage. The General Image that is in each space is displayed and the user can click on that to enter the Garage Space.

The message about having your own Garage will not be seen by Alliance Members.

Feel free to look around my Garage Space and leave feedback in this thread about likes, dislikes and desires.

I agree with changing drivetrain to a different label.

How do you get the bold text in your listings? (ie in the Suspension and Wheels and Tires on your garage entry)

Any idea if links will be possible? Some items I'd want to maybe link to the original vendor I got the item from and some people might have custom DIY upgrades they'd like to link to a how-to on.

I haven't tried it, I wanted to see if there was a rule against it for whatever reason first.

No rules against it. Just didn't think to test it when creating the docs.

Drivetrain has been changed to Under Bonnet.

Working on how to add extra images such as time slips and youtube videos.

Sort of, and I detailed it in the Help but not well. I'll update that too.

Just use the funky code at the end wrapped in the Youtube tag. From this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAI6UM4i3RU just use the TAI6UM4i3RU part when posting in the Garage.

Yeah that was fun to figure out.

Wow, wouldn't have thought of that but is works!
I need to get some of the newer photos up and use some more of the codes to fine tune it all but that's a great thing to do in class later.

Hey hey, the Garages are public! Woo hoo!

I absolutely LOVE the little icon w/photo that pops up when you click on the garage link. It would be awesome if there was a way for that little pop up to show permanently up in the top section of the post that contains the poster's identification (just to the left of the Join Date / Location / Post Count block). Multiple MINI garages would just build to the left -- assuming that 3 would fit, otherwise, no way CR&PW&JB is going to support this idea...

There is a bug where if Garage owner does not place a main image the popup shows a broken image icon. We are working on that issue.

Gnatster,

Just noticed a bug in the code for the images while I was setting up my garage: http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...&vehicle_id=74

I didn't enter a caption for pic #1 (the main pic) or pic #4 (the third pic in the 'additional photos' section). When you click on pic #1 (with no entered caption) to enlarge it, it shows the caption for pic #2. When you click on pic #4 (with no entered caption) to enlarge it, it shows the caption for pic #3.

Pics #2 and #3 where I entered captions display the captions appropriately.

I'll take a look and get this resolved. Thanks!

I'm okay with the way it works. Click on my garage and you see all three of my MINIs.

What i would like though, is the ability to use my photobucket images. Can't get them to take... I had to limit myself to photos I still have on my computer's hard drive.
