I would like to extend an invitation to all photographers whether your a professional or a total blur shot amateur to join the MTTS - 2008 Flickr Group
Our last group MOTD 2008 was a fantastic success with more than 41 contributors and over 1000 images collected.
This is a great chance for you to show everyone just how much fun you had getting to, being there, hanging out, caravaning,
eating with, playing, motoring and really just about anything else as long as it was done during your trip to MTTS.
This group is open to all four events which are Miami, Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles and all points in between if you drove to each one.
I think they shot the previous (first) MTTS. That they're not part of BMW/MINI doesn't surprise me; I'd assume they were either hired to be the "official" shooters or else are doing it on their own. But, yeah, the site seems to be down at the moment.
I was handed a card with mttsphotos.com as the site to purchase photos. But i cant get in the site??? any ideas???
The site is now up and running (with your wallet).
The pictures are difficult to see and they want $11.99 for a 5 X 7.
But wait don't act yet...
If you're really rich and don't mind purchasing a picture that may not even be you in it they also have some for the following prices:
$19.99= 8X10
$30.00=11X14
$55.00=16X20
Good thing we have close to 2000 pictures available on Flickr for a lot less. http://www.flickr.com/groups/mtts-2008/
I have to agree. They are outrageously priced. The "official" pics taken in Charleston and on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel during the rally weren't even a tenth of those prices. Oh well......
And FYI - the official MTTS photos from the Flying Finn Rally have not been posted yet. Hopefully they'll be up later today or tomorrow., so I'm told.
