Custom tuning -- 244 HP

Dear Sir-

I have a Mini Cooper S 2003 September which I have a MTH program that I am currently running. I have sent attachments so that you can see what version I have.
I have recently done some work to the car and would like to upgrade the program.
1 OBX header with standard Mini catalytic converter.
2 Schrick camshaft
3 Ported cylinder head with 1.3mm oversize exhaust valves, standard size inlets.
4 17% smaller pulley on the supercharger.

The car runs well at small throttle openings but if you try to accelerate quickly at 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm the engine stutters and goes flat.
There is also a large flat spot at 4000 rpm but above this it goes very well.

The car runs very well when it has not quite reached full operating temperature.
Would this mean the car runs richer until it is hot ?

Is it possible also to lower the maximum RPM to 6900?
I hope you can help and make the car run nicely again and I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

Kind regards,
XXX

After a little tweaking...

That's pretty good power. Do you have the torque number, Don?

Very nice. That is very close to the parts that I have/will have (except for the head). Don't loose that tune Don I may need it later on... (after I save for the head)...

...better keep in mind that not all heads are created equally! There is a little more to it than what some on NAM would have you believe.

Very true. When I have the $ we will have a long talk...I have to get what I have for my car bolted on first and then MTH. Its nice to know you can tune that combo though.

Do you only offer the full blown Wegner, or would you make something similar to that (I am refering to stock size intake valves and maybe +2mm exhaust with the proper springs guides...).

Custom MTH tuning is certainly available. Data is all that's needed.
If you are going to the expense of doing a head it ought to be done right. Thus, we use Manley valves for both the intake and exhaust -- they are bigger and lighter than stock.

He's not my customer and it is not the Wegner head.
It's from the UK. Dynojet HP; not wheel horsepower I assume.
