Ok here is the deal!

For those of you who don't know already, Next year Paramount’s Kings Island is launching a new and exiting ride called Italian Job Stunt Track. Seen here

I have arranged an opening day (2005) gathering of Mini's (new and old!) to participate in a very festive launch of the park and this new ride!

THIS IS BREAKING NEWS AND THERE ARE MORE EXITING THINGS TO COME.
THERE WILL BE A SIGN-UP AND ENTRANCE TO THE PARK ARAINGEMENTS MADE. DATES HAVE NOT BEEN SET YET, BUT KEEP CHECKING BACK TO THIS THREAD FOR MORE BREAKING INFO.

I'm definitely interested... can you say ROAD TRIP!!!

But... when is opening day? Does this conflict with the Dragon? I hope not since I'm going to that & would like to do both. Please tell me you're planning this for a weekend day otherwise I can't go...

I definitely will be interested in this road trip! You probably can count on a mini-van from the Southeast.

Here in MN we had an advanced screening of The Italian Job where we got to meet the stunt driver and talk to him. The next day the stunt driver was in the parking lot showing off his skills. I wonder if we could get him to do the same at PKI??

Hi again!

I am already getting draw from states all around Ohio that are interested in making the road trip. They now know how serious this is going to be and are really pumped up about the idea. I know we are going to get treated well.
Its still sooooo early on and I dont want to give away things before they are fact. But i'm sure the day will involve Free Parking, and possibly a huge discount in to the park. I am also talking with them about getting us to be one of the first groups of people to ride the ride!

I will for sure update once I know any facts.

Sent you a separate mail, but wanted to let everyone reading the thread know that i live about 30 mins from PKI and I am looking forward to meeting everyone. There may be a chance to have a night-before drive in at a local restaurant. There a TON of things we can do to enjoy fellow miniac's company. Count me in.

We are interested in East Tennessee too. I would like to know approximately what opening day is though :smile: for planning purposes. Three kids and four MINIs/Minis makes for a busy calendar.

I used to go to this park visiting my grandparents during the summers.

Sounds great. I get a newsletter from PKI and saw the drawings for the ride. Looks pretty cool. Count us in if the dates work out!

I just received a call fro Mr. Seibert from Paramount Kings Island personally to say how excited he is about all the MINI's and car clubs participating in the new ride opening.

I will post any info that comes my way, on this site and on MichiganMINI (if it is not posted already)
