Since we are celebrating the Anniversary of the State of Colorado's admission to the Union (1776) this week, admission to all STATE parks is free on Monday, August 3rd. If you are in the area or going to be here, plan accordingly. There are no admittance fees.
On August 1st, 1876 Colorado became the 38th State of the Union.
Attracting more than 11 million visitors per year, Colorado's 42 state parks are a vital cornerstone of Colorado's economy and quality of life. Colorado State Parks encompass 242,531 land and water acres, offering some of the best outdoor recreation destinations in the state.
