Reason: added state count

Should there be a stick pin in the Map if you are registered? If no stick pin am I not registered? Addison Miller & Passenger paid 5/4/09
To maintain privacy, only the PayPal registered address (city, state) was used (no names), along with Driver, Passenger, etc. The counts will vary slightly, as the map list and the official registration are two separate lists. This is just for your amusement only. Google Maps did not have enough information to put a pin right over your house (thankfully). Just a little bit of eye candy.

Hey, we don't expect over the house, but Google put the poor people 300 miles away! Not a complaint to you, Rick. Just a good laugh at the inadequacies of internet maps! (FYI, Pearland is South of Houston, part of the greater Houston area. Heck, Pearland is even on their map! Their pin has the Pearland people in the center of the state!)
What I wonder is how did they know the wife and I are looking in the Hill Country for our retirement re-location. Where was my pin -? perhaps it is a sign! ajm
The AZ group will be a small one this year. But those of us that are going are the die hards! I've attended every year and don't plan to stop anytime soon! Afterall, Colorado is my birth state! Can't wait to see everyone!

And we can't wait to see you! Just think of how cool the days and nights will be when you get here. Die hards rule!

Sorry, but a few addresses from the registration information caused Google Maps to get lost. Until I fixed our records, the Pearland zip code was 9 digits without the dash. Not being in zip+4 format caused Google Maps to gag (try it). I've corrected it and I now know where Pearland, TX is located!
The driver is in Pearland, but the passenger (spouse?) was left behind in the middle of Texas!! Does Google know something??? Just kidding, Rick. Looking forward to getting the heck outta Dodge (Port Neches, in this case)! Been a stressfull 2 months with a sick dog and I have to have something to laugh at!

Man, this is going from bad to worst! First my pin got moved back to Pearland adding several hundred miles to my trip. Then someone else posted this quote so Elaine (wife) could see it. So now, not only do I have to depart from way farther South but now I have to drive out to West Texas anyway to pick her up. You guys know this is all in fun - right? ajm
The Carolina Guys, Luke & John and Beautiful Cindy from SC are on the road in 5 minutes. Its saturday 0540 in the morning and we are pulling out of the driveway. Also WayMotorWorks express delivery from Atlanta is on the move.

Yes, all in fun. We'll have to talk with the Google man about your pin dragging incident. If we all used nothing but latitude and longitude instead of addresses with a ZIP Code, your pin would stay put, probably right over your house. But lat/long does not work with the US Post Office deliveries. Maybe it should.
