Yes, it is true. There will be a Car Show (!NUF) this year at MITM. Watch for the formal announcement, but at this time the show will include categories for:
Classic Minis (we are celebrating the 50th out here)
Coopers and Cooper S's
Convertibles
Clubmans
Within that, categories for judging will include
Under hood presentation
Tires and Wheels
Graphics
Interiors
Theme
Originality and Imagination
Best overall 'Shine'
The !NUF Car Show is FREE to those with a paid Driver Registration at MITM4. There is a small $$ fee for those wishing to show, but who do not register for the event.
The show will be Saturday AM, August 8th, on the parking structure at Copper Mountain Resort. Lineup of show cars is at 8 am, judging at 9 am, then our Classic Mini friends (as always) will lead a ride at 10 am. Come on out and celebrate and join the classics...as we do!
Your registration form will be in your MITM registration packet, or you can request it here and we will send it to you.
'can the vendors enter their MINIs and Minis in the competition' then the answer is absolutely yes.
If you mean 'can the vendors leave their area and come ogle the MINIs and Minis that are entered' then the answer is absolutely yes.
You see, the vendors will be on the top level of the parking structure. The car show will be on the top level of the parking structure. That part you knew. Simultaneously. We will ask all the MINI owners who have not entered their vehicle in the show to kindly move to the lower level of the structure. It should not be a big deal. We have allowed from 8 am to 9 am to move cars around so that the judging can be from 9 to 10.
The vendors, BTW, will be a short 10-50 ft from all the car show cars...at all times. So enter up. Your form will be in your registration kit at the check-in tent when you arrive.

Pick up a registration form when you check in at the tent. Note that the Car Wash will open at 7 am Saturday, lineup for the !NUF Car Show begins at 8, Judging does not begin until 9 am. So you will all have 2 hours for an early wash...we will ask that those of you NOT in the car show move your vehicles to the lower level leaving plenty of room for Car Show exhibitors...

The !NUF Car Show has changed locations. But it will not hurt you. The cars will now be displayed in the Village at Copper, on the pathways. This is only for those who ENTER the show, and there are limited spots. Do this:
When you arrive, go to the check-in tent and sign up for the car show.
There are two forms. Fill one out and give it back to us. Fill the other out and have it to put on your WINDSHIELD so you can be judged. Without this and without your car in the Village, you will not be judged.
Show up at 8 am to 8:30 on Saturday, on the traffic circle by the entrance to the parking structure. Wait for your escort to your spot.
Your car will remain there until 10 am at which point you can move it, out the other side. Or you can remain there til 1 pm at which point you can move it. Movement between 10 and 1 is prohibited.
Plan accordingly.
There is NO FEE if you are registered for MITM as a Driver. Otherwise, $5. There are lots of prizes for lots of cars.
How bout a daily driver catagory with all the bugs and road grime, paint chips, cracked windows and dents. I have an album of worst stuck Geocaching MINI. I'm sure my kids would love to show off.
