Rick and Jonathan:

Did you guys notice that the MITM4 dates in the main NAM Calendar are still bogus? Not a big deal, but might want to get it fixed just to avoid unnecessary confusion.

FWIW, I was at Baron Mini yesterday and saw a MITM4 poster on the wall with dates for the following week (12 thru 16
Aug, 09). Needless to say since our planning dates are all predicated on 5-9 Aug., I thought this might be a sign of my advanced age and I was a week early or that this was a test. I have yet to find any dates contrary to 5-9 Aug. Please tell me it was a test.

Oops.

Please do us a favor the next time you are there. Please have them remove those posters with the OLD dates, and I will send the new ones. I appreciate the heads up, and thank you for taking the time to help out.

If you PM me, I will send you the CORRECT file, I just need your email address.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan, we just got our MC2 magazine and it has the wrong poster in it also. You probably already know this by now but I thought I would tell you just in case you didn't.

You are right. MC2 has the WRONG date

but let me be clear....it is NOT THEIR FAULT. They published what we originally sent them, then WE changed the date. And we forgot to update them. I talked to Barry this week, he is clear, but please accept my apology.

Thanks, see you soon.

August 5-9.

Don't forget your free gift...

Be sure to stop by in the town of Frisco, CO at the Frisco / Copper Mtn Information Center, right on Main St. in Frisco. On the SE corner of 3rd and Main. Stop in and find right inside the door a basket with your gift. Today's gift included a small tube of toothpaste, Advil, a tasty granola bar, and a Tampax, whatever that is.

There's a meaning to that combination. I'm just not sure I want to know what that meaning is.

I think the Advil is for the flatlanders who

suffer from the thin air up there...the granola bar may be symbolic of Colorado as a whole...not sure about the rest....

Can anyone comment on the motoring from 285 Johnson Village to 24 Antero Junction, and up 285 into SW Denver? Would that be a reasonable last driving leg for a couple of tired drivers? ajm

Yes, but an alternative to consider

would be I-70 west to the Evergreen exit, then a few miles to CO 103 Squaw Pass Rd. then up this way (Western Dragon) towards Mt. Evans, then down Chicago Canyon to Idaho Springs, then I-70 again to Copper.

But 285 is nice. About 75 miles to Fairplay from the west side of Denver, then north over Hoosier Pass to Breckenridge, then to Frisco and Copper from there.

Very scenic.

Lois, you better go to

www.Colorado.com and order your free HATS then pick them up at the Visitors Center out there.

You don't want to be out of uniform, you know.

Brewswap starts at 5 pm Wedneday, on the deck. Colorado Microbrews recommended and encouraged since there are so many nice ones to choose from.

Rick or Jonathan,
Is there going to be a link on the MITM page or one of the threads for the photos from MITM4? I've been looking and haven't been able to find them. I only came up for the day so i didn't follow the threads that much, so it could be that i just completely missed it.

Yes, there are already links posted

in the NATIONAL EVENTS section of NAM, where MITM4 threads are located. Try Here:

http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...-5-9-2009-315/

There will be lots of links posted this week and we can link back to it in the MITM site.
