From NASA - Thank You!!!

I'd like to thank all of the Mini5280 members for hosting the meeting/movies on Sunday. Thank you Jonathan and Rick for the invite.

As I mentioned at the meeting, NASA makes it very easy to get involved in open-track events. NASA's goal over the next few years is to be the #1 place in the Rocky Mountain region to receive one on one instruction in how to drive your car safely at speed. We'd love to have all of the Mini5280 members part of making that happen.

I'll be posting another thread on our March 11/12 Pueblo event with all the details.

Again, I appreciate your time and if anybody has any questions about getting your Mini on track, please let me know.

Thanks Dave, and NASA

Thanks, Dave, for attending our meeting/movie screening and telling us all about NASA. I sounds exciting and there are many ways for those interested in easing into track driving or just diving right in. Thanks!
Rick

Event - NASA Pueblo March 11/12

Here is the official announcement (vs. the odds and ends I've been posting)!! NASA Rocky Mountain is holding it's first event of the 2006 season March 11/12 at Pueblo Motorsports Park. If you haven't heard any of the hype, NASA is posed to become the standard for Rocky Mountain motorsports in the years to come. As I mentioned at the Mini5280 meeting, NASA makes it very easy, safe and fun to get your car on track regardless of the type of experience you have.

For the March weekend, we will be having our HPDE program, Time Trials, a little wheel to wheel racing and a few demos (rally-cross & drift) along the way. If you aren't familiar with NASA, here's a quick description of our programs - for more details go look on the forums on the www.nasarockymountain.com site.

HPDE - If you are interested in learning the basics of high performance driving or simply want to drive your street car on a racetrack in a controlled and professionally staffed environment, then HPDE is for you. Our licensed instructors can show you the basics and help you become a safer driver on the street. Experienced? They can help you find that last tenth of a second you’ve been looking for or get you started in a professional racing career.

Don't go to the track to flail around on your own. Learn from the best. We've got many championship winning and professional racers from throughout the Rockies as our instructors. Mini racer Randy Webb is planning on instructing at this event - will you be the lucky person who matches up with him?

Time Trials - NASA’s TT program gives you the chance to compete against the clock to chase down the quickest lap time on many of the country’s best racetracks. Take it to the next step beyond dyno run bragging rights - this is your chance to prove what you and your car can do in the real world. “No Speed Limits – No Cops – No Tickets – Just Fun”

Racing – If you have ever dreamed of going head to head against some of the best road racers in the country, then our racing program is where you need to be. If you think racing costs tons of $$$, check out some of our spec classes that can get you to the checkered flag and into the winners circle for much less than you imagined.

You can sign up online at www.nasaproracing.com. One day is $115 and two days is $199. Each day you will get a MINIUMUM of 80 minutes of track time. Remember, we throw a bbq on Saturday evening, so plan on staying for that.

Ok.. Let the questions begin.

Sorry Tim... didn't see an email. What address did you send it to?

If you have a convertible, then the roll bar is needed. If you have a tin-top, no roll bar is needed.
