Local source for TPMS kit (other than dealer)

I need a local source for a TPMS kit, other than Schomp. $100 a wheel is twice as much as online sources. I don't mind spending a few more dollars for local but twice the price...uh no.

It appears Discount Tire sells kits, but I believe they are all third party. Anyone know of a good source for the Mini originals? Maybe someone has had experience with a third party kit that works as well. If so where did you get it in Denver Metro?

I usually would just order online, but I am in sort of a time crunch. I don't want my car to fail inspection at HPR on Sunday because my new JCWs are tossing my TPMS light. I have my OEM Crown Spokes and tires mounted and sitting here, but it would cost me about $120 for 2 mounts and dismounts, just to use the TMPS kit inside. Plus I've got to haul the wheels and tires down in the car, etc.

Easier and more cost effective to find another set locally...at least I hope.

Thanks.

I've got a used set for sale. They work and were taken out because I put the stock wheels on my wife's 2005 mini that doesn't use them. PM me for more info.

Are they the same TPMS units that go on a 2009 car?

I looked for these about a year ago and the only place locally I found was Schomp. I ended up just buying the aftermarket replacement from Tire Rack and they were here in about 2 or 3 days but you might be able to get overnight service. They were about $160 plus standard shipping for all four. I sold my stock wheels and have these on my aftermarket wheels and they work great.

Good info that they work. So the TireRack TPMS are not BWM originals.

Nope but they look just like them. Probably made by the same company without the BMW stamp and part number

I'll end up just yanking the ones out of the rims I have. I'll order a fresh set when Winter comes, and mounting the snow tires becomes a priority to the wallet. :D

Hey STLMINI you still have your Konig Britelite wheels? I'm thinking about getting a set of 17" for my MCS. I have a couple of questions...I PM you?
