Verrry cool and creative use of photos and music, Jim! You're multitalented. Now we're going to have to watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind again!
Rick
Thanks Mark. I managed to erase the video I shot of the two of you going up Spearfish Canyon. I still have the rear video but the front cam was great because you could hear my blood starting to boil because of the remote controlled granny car. So wish I could have caught us all going by that SUV also.

I am working on another video and would like to include some of your pictures because I could not be with all of you all the time. This video will include everyones memories not just mine.
That sounds great, Jim. I've watched the first video several times and love it. What are the two pieces of music you use? The second song keeps going around and around in my head!

First song is Apollo 440 (Stop the Rock)
Second song is also Apollo 440 (Lost in Space (Theme)) That's Joey from Friends voice in there.
Glad you are all enjoying the vid.
Working on another now
Just wait till you see the Devil's Tower section.
Just got home 1230 am Wednesday morning. Enjoyed the ride home. Jim, Eileen and I did another trip down the Needles Hwy before heading across Route 2 thru Nebraska. I made it to St Joseph Mo the 1st night then on to St Louie where traffic was a nightmare, so I got off the interstate, toured the Arch, and Budweiser Brewery. Then off to Lexington, Ky for a night. Next day stopped in Corbin where I met this beautiful Blue eyed Blond and she really looked great in her Highway Patrol Uniform. Got a lecture on driving like a teenager and told to slow down, so I did til I was out of sight. No ticket though I probably deserved one. Got home went to bed, got up took 1 1/2 hours just to get the bugs off the front. Thank all of you for putting up with me and I know it took some effort in putting this together. I had a great time with some great people, as matter of fact can honestly say never met a bad mini person yet! Hope you all can make MITM4, it will be my 4th straight time out and hopeing to bring some more Carolina Minis this year. May God Bless each and everyone! Luther (Luke) Shields

Don't feel bad Dan, mine are almost shot too. Probably get some new ones next week. Got over 30K on NITTO GENs, which were only 20K tires. I like them but they are not for cold or really wet driving. I almost came back thru Chicago. I haven't been thru there since the 80's. I guess alot has changed, would love to go to the BLUES Festival one more time in my lifetime. Good luck on the new rubber. Jim great videos, and Doug great photos also all the others that posted. I took over 100 photos, but have no clue how to post them. Hope to see you all in Copper the other hills!

Since I used to work for Firestone Racing Division, you won't believe my tyre choice, I run General Exclaim UHP 215/40ZR/17, they are really great in the rain and dry, and they are very inexpensive too!
Luke, was great to see you and look forward to motoring with you again at MITM.

The Small Store For The Motoring Enthusiast
One day after stopping at Carhenge, we made the front page of the local paper, Times-Herald, in Alliance, Nebraska (click PDF below). The caption reads, "MINI Cooper enthusiasts from Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, Arizona and North Carolina met at Carhenge yesterday afternoon on their way to Mount Rushmore. The group arranged the 18 MINIs in front of Carhenge for a unique photo opportunity."

Was there a "purplish" looking classic Mini that attended this event? I saw him driving in Rapid as we were heading to Mt. Rushmore lol. I live in Gillette Wyoming and am a Classic owner!! Thought I'd say hi!
Will you be coming down to MITM4 www.MINIsintheMountains.com this summer? We'd love to have you here...for our Car Show which includes both classic and Neo Minis and MINIs....
