Both John and I wanted to send out a big "Thanks for making us feel so welcome, and it was a pleasure meeting so many new people". This was our first MINI-vacation and what a blast it was. We're sooo looking forward to MITM!
Thanks again and we hope to motor with you soon!

thanks again to Jonathan, Jim and Doug for getting everyone together and putting together a really great event. And to all of my friends, I hope to see you again real soon.
here are my pics. What I lack in quality, I make up for in quantity Enjoy
BTW, that one pic of your convertible, top down, looking out the back, over the Badlands is quite imaginative. You ought to send that to Rick as a inclusion with our article. It is a good one.

I had a blast this weekend! The location was amazing and the time of year was perfect to avoid crowds but still have no chance of snow (ok, we did see a couple flakes...). Thank you very much Jonathan, Jim and Doug for getting this all setup, and coordinating such a great group of MINI fanatics.
I can't wait to see what you come up with for next year - it's going to be hard to keep me away!

After a jaunt through the Badlands, breakfast at Wall Drug, a quick encounter with the Corn Palace & a night in Council Bluffs, we made it home on Monday
Mark & I had a great time. And thanks so much to Jim, Jonathan & Doug & about 30 MINIs full of great people
See you all next year wherever the roads may take us
Lois
The "girls" had fun too!!

Yes, we had a great time Beautiful country, great roads, but the best part was the wonderful people we met for the first time, and seeing old friends again
I'll post some pics later, as now I need to wash the Clubman, cut the grass, weed the gardens..... Oh, and get ready to go back to work tomorrow.
Thanks Jonathan, Jim, and Doug for putting on such a well run, laid back event
You are all more than welcome. It just makes me feel so good that everyone had such a good time. Now I need to work on plans for next year.
I am working on another video and would like to include some of your pictures because I could not be with all of you all the time. This video will include everyones memories not just mine.
Many, many thanks to Jonathan, Jim, and Doug for putting this together. This was my first MINI event, in fact the first time outside of the local dealer that I ever saw more than 3 MINIs in one place. It was wonderful to meet so many nice people and to begin to learn how to handle real twisties. And everyone has such beautiful MINIs!
Thanks to all for being so welcoming towards this newbie. I hope to see many of you again at MITM. Happy motoring, everybody!

Had a super time in the Black Hill's area. Thanks to all involved in the planning. Great to see everyone and hope to see again at MITM come August. The drive home was 983 miles in about 15 hours. But hey, we were in a MINI so it was a piece of cake. Motor On, Becky and Dan

That sounds great, Jim. I've watched the first video several times and love it. What are the two pieces of music you use? The second song keeps going around and around in my head!
Hey Eileen! nice pics! I think you handled the twisties just fine in your Clubman
Dan/Becky - it was really good to see you again. I hope to make it out next year, wherever it may be. it's funny, your mileage home was about the same as mine, but it took me 17 hours to get home
Mark/Lois - it's always fun to hang out with you guys. I'll have to make a trip to StLouis sometime...
Paul/Chris/Holly - to my 'Sota friends, thanks for letting me tag along. we always seem to have a good time wherever we end up. We'll have to do this again soon!
Jim/Jonathan/Doug - you guys are the best. so glad I chose this trip to be my big MINI trip of the year. wherever you guys decide to go next year, I'll make sure I'm on that list again.
-Francis

First song is Apollo 440 (Stop the Rock)
Second song is also Apollo 440 (Lost in Space (Theme)) That's Joey from Friends voice in there.
Glad you are all enjoying the vid.
Working on another now
Just wait till you see the Devil's Tower section.
Thanks to everyone -- We had a great time

Somehow I think that Reflection shot fits in with the Devil's Tower.
I took that when we stopped for pictures at the prairie dog town in the park. It was one of those utterly serendipitous moments: after taking a bunch of other shots of the prairie dogs, I walked over to my car and just happened to glimpse Doug's nifty taillight out of the corner of my eye. I could never have thought that one up, much less lined it up. Pure dumb luck.

Verrry cool and creative use of photos and music, Jim! You're multitalented. Now we're going to have to watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind again!

Just got home 1230 am Wednesday morning. Enjoyed the ride home. Jim, Eileen and I did another trip down the Needles Hwy before heading across Route 2 thru Nebraska. I made it to St Joseph Mo the 1st night then on to St Louie where traffic was a nightmare, so I got off the interstate, toured the Arch, and Budweiser Brewery. Then off to Lexington, Ky for a night. Next day stopped in Corbin where I met this beautiful Blue eyed Blond and she really looked great in her Highway Patrol Uniform. Got a lecture on driving like a teenager and told to slow down, so I did til I was out of sight. No ticket though I probably deserved one. Got home went to bed, got up took 1 1/2 hours just to get the bugs off the front. Thank all of you for putting up with me and I know it took some effort in putting this together. I had a great time with some great people, as matter of fact can honestly say never met a bad mini person yet! Hope you all can make MITM4, it will be my 4th straight time out and hopeing to bring some more Carolina Minis this year. May God Bless each and everyone! Luther (Luke) Shields
