Hi all,

For anyone who may be bringing their dog/dogs. I just researched the hotel/motels that were recommended & the Super 8 is the only motel with no restrictions. $10 per dog per night. The Golden Spike allows pets but they cannot be left in the room alone The rest of the places do not allow pets. So it looks like Mark, me & the fuzzy girls will be staying at the Super 8 in Hill City

Yippee, I can hardly wait

Lois

PS Happy Birthday, Jim Mine was Monday & Mark's is today Us January babies are the bestest

My reservations are made

at the Holiday Inn Express. Points, you know. 3 nights. $69 and up. Lots of room choices at this time.

Garage
Three nights in the books at the BW GS for me. The large parking lot appeals to the OCD in me. Plus, the points thing...

We will be there during the month of May. Right now we are trying to make sure we can do the same weekend with everyone else. Just picked up a bigger and much slower box on wheels, an older VW camper. No need for hotel rooms for us but we definately need to get a head start on destinations, this things gets in the way of everyone else on the road. Still a very cool ride.

I'm betting that your MINI friends could help you

trick it out, like this one. Maybe some cool stripes and stickers. We could even have a detail day to shine it up.

You know, the NEW short bus.

Chuck? What you think?

i wish ours was of that 70s vintage. Maybe another one in the future. Here is a picture of the Westy, it came from a long time owner and a PCA member. Quite clean. I do need a 5280 sticker for it

... an awful lot of surface area on that puppy, and white to boot. I don't mind the hours and hours of polishing and waxing but I'd like to have a little more pizazz to show for it when I'm done.
Still, I'm game if you are.

I've got a few cans of spray paint (various colors) lying around the garage. We could jazz it up a bit.

Black Hills Run t-shirts now available

on Cafe Press, courtesy of Rick Gonzales.

You will find several types and colors of special Run for the Hills shirts which are now available directly from CafePress (our markup is only $1). Please visit: www.cafepress.com/mini5280 for examples and to order. Again, your only cost is production and postage plus $1 to MINI5280, which helps pay various fees. We do not maintain an inventory of shirts.

Well I am in finally. Got the go ahead from my Doctor. Lost so much in the market, got to get out there and spend it fast before the Demogods get it. Nothing else for 66 year old mini nut to do after all never seen a armored car in funeral procession. Got great deal on line, at BesterWestern Golden Spile for 65 and night including tax, Come on Blimey you can do it, its only 1679 miles from Charlotte for me. If they pass the milage tax in NC, I might have to reconsider, no way!! Luke

Great news

We wont be going to the Black Hills. Actually that is bad news but the reason is great. The reason we are not going is that my wife is feeling horrible lately. She is just misserable, that is not very good news either. She is pregnant with a set of twins we just found out. There you go thats the great part!!! We just became a family of five overnight.

Congrats! Sorry you won't be out to join us but we can always buy the twins a t-shirt from the Mt. Rushmore gift shop.

You know, when we talk about 'The Twins' at my house

we are talking about something else.

i find it very ironic. One meaning of 'twins' causes the other definition.
