Welcome to Amarillo, MTTSers!

Just want to welcome to Amarillo fellow MINI drivers.

Between Albuquerque and Amarillo, especially after crossing TX/NM stateline, be prepared for some long stretches of construction (one-lane/45mph). Don't know of any flagman stops, just kind of slower travel.

Any questions about Amarillo and vicinity, please lemme know. Be glad to help!

You'll find my electric blue '04 S under the Blue Sky sign at I-40 & Western, a good place to stop.

Construction not so good - hope there's not lots of rubble to be chucked up onto our MINIs

What's the "Blue Sky Sign"? Is it on the MTTS route? Or at the end? Or what?

Hi, Ian --

I don't think you'll get rubble thrown up on your MINI on the I-40 construction, but there is a good possibility of gravel hitting the windshield, especially if you're too close to 18-wheelers.

Blue Sky is our authentic Texas burger place, not a tourist trap. We're right on I-40 & Western about 3 miles from the western city limits. I'll be there in my MINI to say howdy.

Look forward to seeing you!

Just saw this.
Thanks for the road advice.

Hopefully we'll bump in to each other.
