MTTS: have you gotten wristbands yet?

I registered to participate in MINI Takes The States, starting in Indianapolis. I understand that to participate in the events along the way, you need to have a wristband, mailed to those who registered.

I haven't gotten anything from MINI yet and I was wondering if anyone else has?

I wouldn't want to miss the special event in Indy, which is a lap around the Indy 500 track with the MINIs. (I guess that would be called a MINI lap. )

I read on the St Louis MINI Club MTTS thread that they would mail the packages to people who registered by July 17 the week of Aug 7 and packages to people who registered by July 24(I think) the next week.

I just hope delivery of this package is better than the delivery of the Secret Black Box-which STILL hasn't arrived. If my luck with USPS hold true, I'll receive my MTTS package in October.

Mishka, thanks for the info.

I was afraid that MINIUSA had forgotten me. I haven't gotten my black box yet, either. :(

Annewithane, hopefully your Black Box isn't with mine or you may never see it.

We may see you in Indy. We are driving the St Louis-Indy leg and using it as an excuse to visit family in Noblesville.

I'll look for you! While I've seen a few orange verts around, I've never seen one with silver racing stripes.

Look for the PW vert driven by a woman with red hair. That'll be me!

Question for BlacknBlue

Do you have any idea where you're going to place your window sticker? Since I'm wearing the band it's safe and will not get lost. The decal is small enough to get misplaced.

Could somebody list all that's in the packet? Mine came without a Travelogue , and I was wondering if any thing else was missing.

Yes, I got my MTTS pouch yesterday and I have the same question - is the window sticker (which is an "inside application" one with adhesive on the image surface) used in MTTS for admission to "things" or is it just a nice memento decal? Either way, I suppose that the common place for them is the rear side windows - but do more people put them on the right or left hand side?

I was thrilled that the wristbands were in CHILI RED !!! At first, I thought that MINI was matching the band colors to the colors of each owner's car - but now it looks like everyone gets a Chili Red band. How fortunate for everyone to share this killer color !!

It's a good thing I asked. It thought the common place was on the windshield along the bottom corner drivers-side or along the very top edge. I'm clueless. I'd just like to put it someplace permanent that's the same as everyone else. I guess the rear side window will do. I know mine retracts so I don't want to get it scratched but it would allow for a nice line of similar decals. Like a fighter pilot counting kills, a Mini pilot counting out rallies.

I got my kit today. It doesn't look like I will actually be able to go but it is neat to have some of the swag. . . .

I'm keeping the decal, along with wristbands, in the big envelope for now.

My MC's rear windows are tinted rather dark so I'm not sure about applying the decal. I may just keep it as is, especially since I have the MTTS grille badge and sticker that I can apply on the exterior.
