MINIs down the shore?

Hi all!

I have owned my MINI for 10 days now. What a blast of a car!

Just found this site, and this forum and I am wondering about MINI owners down the shore. I live in Toms River, anything going on around here?

Pete

Blast is right!
Welcome to the cult... (of never wanting to stop driving that little car of yours)
here is the link to the wine run this Sunday... from Edison through Sourland mountain... back up the mountain and we end at Hopewell. You don't have to do any wine tasting, you can just run with us and hang if you want. We will all do our best to answer all your Mini questions too!

Hi Pete,

I live right around the corner from you. I'm in Manchester Twp. right on 571 one block from Rt70. If you haven't been keeping your Mini in the garage, I'm sure we've passed each other on the road. I have a liquid yellow 2004 MC. I've seen a few new minis in the area, perhaps one of them was you. There is also another Mini owner right in your back yard who shows up here on NAM quite often. He posts as "robr3004" and he is also from Toms River. There is also a small group of Mini owners from just north of us in Howell, Twp. So you're in a good location for passing a few Minis on the road each day. What routes do you take to and from work? I know for a fact that there are a few other Mini owners in the Toms River area, but we just haven't met them other than a passing wave every now and then. Blink your lights if you see a Mini coming at you!

The MINI does sleep at night in the garage (first time a cars been in there in a very long time ) I work on Route 37, but I do travel to Pa and head out on Route 70. Fact is, I'll be heading that way Mon and Tues next week. Early though. I will blink the lights when I see a MINI.

Pete:

Post a picture of your Mini when you get a chance so we'll know which Mini we are looking for. I've got a couple pictures of mine in my "gallery"

Just took some pictures of "RuFus" and posted them to my gallery. Also posted a thread in 1st gear, it's RuFus' introduction to NAM.

Well, between "RuFus" and "Itsy" we'll be bringing some color to the Mini motoring events in the area. Speaking of which, there is a run taking place this Sunday that my wife and I are going to attend. If you're looking to put some miles on RuFus, here's your first chance. You'll see the posts for it under "Nov.1st "Last Run for the Grapes" in 2009" on NAM. Now the next thing that you have to watch out for is the "modding" bug. It may take a little while...but it'll getcha sooner or later. In the meantime, keep him shinny!

Wow Ed!

Ed,

That AeroGrill makes your car pop w/ the Checkerboard Caps...

If you put a Checkerboard Rear View Mirror Cover...that Photo will make your car the center piece...like the MONA LISA.

Some Winter Mods...Checkerboard Rear View Mirror Cover, Grill Badge Holder, Grill Badge, PIAA/KC Driving Lights (4)...OK! 2.

Some Spring Mods...16" White Wheels...Relocate the front license plate and get a European Plate "ITSY"...Black Pin Stripes w/ white shadow with "Itsy" in cursive at the back end...No Stripes...it looks good plain...don't vinyl wrap your headlight rings...looks good chrome.

Frantic Freddy Mod Suggestion...M7 Under Strut System...

The only mod that I did was a Mini Convertible...

If you want more suggestions...I got plenty...you know we got "DA WORKS"...you can call yours "IT WORKS"

Lorin

Next spring (before bennie season starts) I would like to see about putting together a toms river island run or at least help someone else to one. My folks have a vacation home down there so I think I could find some things to do and see.

Wow! You've got your spies everywhere. I can't get a new tank of gas without you knowing about it . I saw your list of mods that you want me to install on Itsy...can I assume that you're going to assist with the purchase of these items as well ?

Your car is looking good...the clear lights and led tail lights are on the spot.

Well, I can tell you that if it doesn't cost anything, Lorin wouldn't even give it a thought...he just loves spending someone else's money

I have to tell you, I have this aversion to saying or typing the word H-O-S-P-I-T-A-L and I surely don't like setting foot inside them. I hope yours was a very short visit.
