Delaware River Valley Winery Run?

Look, I know I'm new to the group, but I was thinking of doing a Delaware River Valley winery run sometime this Fall (October/November?).

There are a bunch of wineries in both Hunterdon, NJ and Bucks county, PA, with fun roads in-between.

Let me know if you think you might be interested and we can see about putting something together.

We would be interested in this, come up with some ideas and plan a route and I am sure that others will want to come along.

Glad you came out to Jackson the other day always nice to meet other Mini owners.

Mike

Can't say that didn't cross my mind, but I'm assuming everyone will "taste" responsibly and buy bottles for later.

Either that or have designated drivers and three "navigators" per car.

DRVWR Update:

I'm gonna take some time to work out the logistics.

While there are a number of wineries in the region, I'm thinking of two for this day, followed by a late lunch/early dinner. I'd love to do a circuit of four, but we might all be half-in-the-bag after the third. Therefore, we can save the other wineries for future runs, if people enjoy this one and want to do more.

I'll contact a few wineries and see what they can offer us: Tastings? Tours? Grape Stomping? Also, most wineries in the region open at noon, so it'll be a late start.

I'll also get back to y'all on a date and further updated info.

Cheers, everyone!

IANJ,
Mark me down as another interested Mini owner who will be monitoring this thread.

Ditto! A late start works better for me on the weekends anyway.

Same here a little later is better, and maybe a Sunday would be even better for us.

I also would like A Sunday run if possible, but keep in mind if you plan a later in the day run, by mid to late NOV it is getting dark early.

Very good point Jim. Part of the fun of a Mini run is being able to see all of the surroundings during the run and sometimes take pictures.
I vote for the earlier the better.

Good thoughts, everyone! I think a Sunday is fine. And, while I would like to do this in October, I don't want to conflict with any other events and I'm not sure whether I can do all the proper prep in the next couple of weeks...

But I'll let y'all know.

Stay tuned...
