Anyone going to PhillyMini in the Mountains on Saturday 3 October 2009? If so lets plan on meeting somewhere and motoring out as a group.

I left 4:00AM last year...rolled south to meet the "CREW"...Four MINIs rolled up across to Northern Extension (PA)...met a bunch of MINIACS (50 - I think)...5 stages...186 miles in the country/moutains...we ate at some BBQ restaurant...rolled back with four MINIs...got home around 11:30PM...Next Day...Wow.

We are going up Friday afternoon and staying the entire weekend, doing both Mini in the Mountains and Harveys Lake on Sunday. We are staying at the Red Roof Inn Friday and Saturday nights. It was just to much driving there, then motoring, then home, thought it would be easier this way.

Guys What happened to the New Cabrio? Was looking forward to seeing it.

1. We get the Cabrio...We drive off and the tire is flat...took it back...they put more air in the tire...the tire is flat...We had to leave the car at the dealership so they can fix the rim because the air was getting out of the side of the rim.
2. I test drove the car late at night...I haven't been in the car yet...I'm running around the sharp curve and the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" Light comes on (Yellow), the Cabrio drops from 60MPH (25MPH Curve) to 15MPH...it felt I dropped 2/3rds of the engine's power...an "EML" comes on...I had to pull off to the side...Turned the engine off twice...It started up and took it home...the service lights are still on...we call "MINI Roadside Assistance" and they picked up the car at 11:00PM and took it to Morristown the next day...
Update: The Cabrio gets to Morristown and no service lights come on...we will know Monday...Called the other Dealership "It's covered under warranty."
3. I was driving "INIMINI" back from Earle, NJ (Same Day)...driving slow on the TPKE in the Truck Lane and a car threw a rock into the windshield...D@MN!...Second windshield I have to replace...
Lorin,
Sorry to hear about the new cabrio as well as inimini, hope the dealer can get it sorted out. We are doing OK here, we got in around 500pm, and left for dinner at 600pm. We just got in from dinner and need some sleep.
Hope to see you in the morning. Mike
