The Site was hacked on Sept 2nd, all data including backup was lost, they are in the process of rebuilding it, but it will take some time i am guessing

Here you go if you have not seen it.

Copied right form nemini.org

On September 2, 2009, hackers attacked a number of servers at
the hosting company on which NEMIN resided.
ALL data on our server, as well as ALL backup data
for ALL of their servers, were lost.
Gene and Nadine are understandably devastated. Given the
complete loss of data, coupled with the ever-increasing demands
of life, they made the tough decision that they would not continue with NEMINI.
NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS:
Gene has generously transferred ownership of NEMINI to a
group of us who have volunteered to recreate the site and have it
back online ASAP. We will be starting FROM SCRATCH using our
collective memories to bring the site back online. This will take some time, and
there will inevitably be omissions, as well as visual changes made.
We will do our collective best to provide our members with a site
that is as close to the pre-hacked site as is possible.
Rest assured, the very nature of NEMINI will remain 100% true
to Gene's original vision. It WILL remain a member-supported site,
with any and every Mini/MINI owner/fan welcome.
And, as always, we WILL remain true to our primary tenet:
NEMINI: It's ALL about the food!

In conclusion, I know I speak for everyone when I offer a huge
THANK YOU,
GENE and NADINE,

for all of your hard work, sleepless nights, and overall dedication
to NEMINI. Without you, most of us would never have met.
We ask your patience while we work to give birth to NEMINI 2.0.

I liked NEMINI. No adds, plenty of info and a lot of good people. Looking forward to it raising from the ashes, or what ever you call it on the "infernet"

Anyone that needs to look at past postings and topics from NEMINI can use the cached google search. Here is a helpful search for topics... click on cached to view
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&r...c&aq=f&oq=&aqi=
but most have the topics in the description area. Only 9,400 to search through.
and a search for boards gave me some good results also
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&r...s&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

Anyone wanting to read a past board can google site:nemini.org and insert the topic or your nemini ID (site:nemini.org minimom) and click "cached" at the bottom line of each result to read the thread. If you don't click cached you will get an page cannot be displayed error. Also click on more results from nemini or all results from nemini to view all posts within that search.

Sorry, but that seems a bit irrational to me. What personal info is there to steal from NEMINI?

NEMINI was not hacked. The web hosting company that hosted NEMINI was hacked, and the only thing the hackers wanted to do was erase all the data. NEMINI was not the target, someone had a beef with this hosting company. And NEMINI was not the only web site that was wiped out as a result.

Should you be careful with your personal data? Absolutely! Be very careful. But if you think that online forums are a risk, then you'd better reconsider your presence here or on any other forum.

Personally, I think you take a bigger risk when you hand your credit card over to the waitress at the local restaurant and she walks away with it for a few minutes...

All login ID's were lost. There's no point in trying to login yet, we're still working on it.

When the site is back up, you'll have to re-register.

Please keep an eye on the main page for updates: http://nemini.org
