...why MINI drivers in Bergen County refuse to be friendly? I swear I'm the only person who makes any attempt to wave. Do they think I'm flipping them off?
I just want to feel loved!

their probably intimidated and see them selfs in the sunglasses and get scared. i get waved at all the time and im usualy riping it in first gear when i notice their waving and dnt get the chance to wave back : P i actualy chased an r52 the other day to his house because i noticed he had a bad as exhaust (no homo) and ended up getting the kids number (kinda homo but not realy) and hopefully we will get to get something together like a mini take over NJ kinda deal. Everyone that lives in Jersey has to go once its nice out.
Here in Fredonia, NY there have been a lot of MINIs being purchased. And most of the drivers do not understand in the least that MINI is not just a car. They let their cars stay dirty, they don't wave then look like zombies... I am very frustrated by this.
Almost all the Mini's I see or pass in Burlington NJ wave or flash thier lights. There are a couple that look at you like you are crazy but most are happy to wave or flash.

Yeah, the whole "wave" thing is ongoing issue. Everyone used to wave, but the cars are getting more appealing to non-enthusiasts. It kinda sucks. I always wave still, though. Occasionally, I get a wave back.

I also suspect that many drivers are "off in their own little world" when they're out driving and may not even see you, because as far as I'm concerned, there's absolutely no reason not to return a wave from a hot blonde - I don't care if you're driving a MINI or a loaded garbage truck.

Funny since I am not even from NJ but I am In NY at least...
I was thinking about printing up some flyers of card like things with a greeting and a link for our areas club. I would also put a MINI code of ethics as a joke but would maybe inform others that may not have been introduced to the fact that you should wave at fellow MINIs when out driving.
I would then leave them on the windows of MINIs when I see them.

That's too funny!
I need to keep a sign in my car that says something like "Stop being a jerk, you're driving a MINI." I don't think I'd win many friends that way though...

Hi I am part of a small club called - minis on the edge.org in New Jersey and they put cookies in the shape of a mini on the minis they see and flyers to members so we can tag minis to let them know about the club and it is great fun. So when you are in New Jersey you could get -- waved-- tagged -- or even get a cookie hope to see you soon.
Lots o' luck SLIM Mc.

I'm in pearl river (PW/B) so I'm sure we've crossed paths. I will make sure to wave next time, but I stopped initiating waves to fellow mini drivers after having so few people wave back. I find the mini's with a little bit of personalization usually wave back, or wave first.
