Well folks, probably the biggest British Car event in So Cal is happening on October 1 and so far we only have 2 trophies for what is sure to be 40 minis/MINIS that show up. Why? you may ask... Because not enough people have pre-registered.
The number of trophies offered in a class (up to 3 per class) is directly related to the number of pre-registered vehicles designated in that class. 3 registrations give us a 1st place trophy. 8 pre-registrations give us a 1st and a 2nd. 15 pre-registrations give us 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Classes are as follows and are based on body style, not on year of manufacture to avoid those pesky mix-ups with damned import laws:
Long Wheel Base (Traveller, Van, Pickup, Estate, Moke)
Short wheel base external hinge (MKI and MK2)
Short wheel base internal hinge (MK3 and up)
Racing minis
New MINIS (includes Cooper, Cooper S and Convertibles)
PRE REGISTRATIONS MUST BE POSTMARKED BY SEPT 12 IN ORDER TO COUNTY IN THE TALLY FOR TROPHIES.
Breakfast snacks and full lunch will be offered at the site (for additional cost--NOT included in registration).
