Events around Charlotte

Here's a few things to consider doing in the Charlotte area over the next two weeks.

Nascar Souvenir Blowout on the Friday after Thanksgiving between 8 am and 6 pm. Last year a coworker of Keiths went to this event and had a good time. He was able to take his pick-up out on the track for two laps. I'm not a Nascar fan, but it's something to consider.

and this weekend is the Charlotte International Auto Show at the Charlotte Convention Center. http://www.charlotteautoshow.com/AutoShow2004/index.htm

of course don't forget the Mini detail clinic and visit to the new Mini dealer here in Charlotte this weekend--Yea Finally!!!!!! http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...ad.php?t=32362

Thanks for the list of events.

The event at the Speedway is a great chance for a MINI owner to take their MINI on 2 laps around Lowe's Motor Speedway. Over the years I have driven many of my cars on the track. If you are into NASCAR there are some super buys. The teams that are changing sponsers sell every thing at deep discounts. Check out the link for details.

I am going to the Charlotte Auto Show on Friday night. I was hoping that since Charlotte will have a MINI dealer as of Thursday that there would be a MINI display. I called yesterday and found out, no MINI display.

Yes they limit your speed by having you follow a pace car. They only let about 15 cars go out a a time and they space you apart. I think I got up to about 85 for a few seconds the last time I did it.

You will still have fun being on the track, I hope you enjoy.
