2002 Mini Side Marker

My husband disconnected the side marker and drop the wire and now we cannot find it. Any suggestions? UGH!

Do you mean that the wire that connects to the light in the side marker fell back behind where the side marker snaps in? If so, not sure if it'd be easier to look from underneath or not. I've taken both of mine off (same side marker, mine's a 2003) and haven't had that happen, so not sure if getting under the car with a flashlight to find out where the wire went would be helpful or not.

If not, I'd guess the only way would be to try and fish it out by sliding a hand back there. I know there isn't a lot of room to work with in this space, just not sure how else to get back there and find the wire
