Fall 2009 Food Lion AutoFair - At Lowe's Motor Speedway On Saturday September 12th.
M2C2 has again been invited to participate in the AutoFair car show at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday September 12th from 8:00am until 6:00pm.
We have been given space for 20 MINIs to be displayed. The AutoFair will be awarding 5 trophies to the MINIs in our club.
If you have never been to the AutoFair you are in for a treat. More than 150,000 people attend this event over a 4 day period. Please check this link for more information. http://www.charlotte-autofair.com/
This is an honor for our club to be invited to attend this event. We need to fill all 20 spaces. You must be a club member to participate. Also note that all cars are expected to stay for the entire time. The people attending the show pay to enter while we have no entry fee. Please post here to be added to the list. Once the list is full we'll add names to the waiting list as there are always cancellations.
We need to be in place by 7:30 AM.
The plan is to meet at the Starlight Theater parking lot just off I-485 at Hwy 29 around 6:00 and caravan the last couple of miles by about 6:30 as we need to be in place by 7:30. Be sure to bring chairs, drinks, munchies and whatever cleaning gear you think you may need for last minute polishing to make him/her more beautifuler.
2. Two of our members cars will be in the Nationwide Garage along with the other headliner cars for the entire show: They would be Luke's and Art's babies. Hendrick will also have a Mini on display with them as well as an original '64 Mini. This is in celebration of Mini's Golden Anniversary.

Count me in. Also the Euros at the Fair Sep 13th 9am til 3pm, I also go to this one and its in the infield and cost $20 buck but they have more classes of euros and throphies. We need some more minis on sunday, I can get you the entry forms if you would like to join me. I have been the only one representing m2c2 on sunday the rest are Tarheel Mini people. Everyone please come on out, because if you win Best of Show saturday you get to come back Sunday for the awards presentation and parade lap. Luke

We need someone to be in charge of what everyone brings to eat. Also bring a lounge chair and cooler and good walking shoes if you plan on seeing the show, its big! So one of you gals step up, we should have plenty of water for everyone and remember if you buy food there its a long way too it and expensive.

Brian allowed us take some dealership cars up last time. I think Charles & his friend drove 2 up. If you and Doc need to get up to Hendrick to pick one up let me know. I can play chauffeur. Brian indicated he would do whatever was needed for the Auto Fair, especially since they are showcasing the Mini this year.
I will talk to Brain, and probably just drive down and pick one up and leave my truck.

So far only 9 people in the running for trophies and we have 5 trophies to give away. We need some more people to sign up. Luke & Doc will not be in the running for trophies, so come on people lets go have some fun. I think we will be in the same place as usual out of the sun or rain under the smith tower. Chris will let us know, so there is no reason you can't get up a little early and come on to the AUTOFAIR.

If I can get my car out of the shop in time I would love to join in. She's at Import paint and body having the front and rear redone. I got rear-ended a couple weeks ago.
