Almost everyone from SoCal has back out. My wife and I are still driving both MINIs, my 2007 Cooper S and her 2007 Cooper. If any one wants to meet up with us along the way, contact me (phone numbers at bottom) and we can set a time and place to meet. Our trip plans are listed below including motels that we have booked for the trip to MMW. We have no reservations for the trip home yet.
The motels for the trip up are listed at the bottom. We will plan the
return trip on the way up and finalize it while at MMW. I have
reservations for 15+ for the river rafting and will call them on Sat
or Sun to finalize the count.
Leave Escondido 9am July 6th (Truly Yours)
Stay Friday night in Sacramento, Ca (approx 500 miles, 8-9 hours)
Head over to the 101 via Hwy 299, with stops along the coast
Stay Saturday night in Grants Pass, Oregon (350 miles, 8-9 hours)
Take twisties to Crater Lake, have lunch (100 miles, 2 hours)
Stay Sunday night in Maupin, Or (200 miles, 4 hours)
Monday Morning River Rafting on the Deschutes
Those who do not River Raft can take a ride around the Maupin area
Then we will all have lunch before departing the Maupin area.
Arrive Monday evening at the MMW hotel
Stay Monday night in MMW Hotel (125 miles, 3 hours)
Begin the trip home Friday morning July 12.
