Chevron Corporation owns the patent to the Nickel Medal Hydride, (NiMH), battery. The NiMH EV traction battery was invented using US tax money.

The NiMH battery is by far the best battery to use for a BEV with over a decade of use in the Toyota RAV4-EV. Hundreds of these SUVs have over 100,000 miles on them with the original batteries in them and still get 100+ miles per charge.

NiMH batteries cost a lot lest than Lithium Ions and have a much greater life.

Chevron Corp. has suppressed the manufacture and use of large NiMH batteries for fear that they would replace gasoline. All NiMH batteries in use today are licensed to Chevron including the ones used in the Prius.

Our federal government has the power to force Chevron to let these batteries be made and used for the greater good of the American public.
