Show off your Motoring Badge Collection...

I'm a huge fan of magnetic Motoring Badges and wanted to show off my collection. Please show yours as well.

Here are mine:

From MotoringBadges.com:

Some club badges. Some from MotoringBadges.com and some from CooperFlags.

Come on folks. I know I'm not the only one with motoring badges. Let's have a look.

You know you want to.

Gotta find the camera to get some pics. You have quite a few more than I do, though.

Looks like you will be needing

a MITM2 / CRTC version for 2007. Not to mention the new, first release, "Western Dragon".

Come on up to Copper. We will take care of you.

Tempting. I got my MITM badge from Caine who's in my local group. Maybe I can convince the family to take a road trip up there.

Here's my small collection. The Hot Orange Owners Club and orange/black/silver Union Jack are still dirty from MOTD travels.

Caine is coming back, and I believe he's bringing some folks with him. I'll have to see about getting some time off in August.

Mine are usually dirty too. I just happened to clean them up for this pic.

Nice collection, Mike.

I know what you mean. I ended up ordering 5 six-packs over the last year or so, plus two specialty single orders and I won my WRR badge. Not to mention a couple of group runs for some local events. I think I paid for the cup holder in Todd's GP. LOL!

Here's my one and only so far, but I've got a few more coming. Got mine from MotoringBadges.com, they're great and I highly recommend them.

I don't really care for them, I prefer the metal ones. Sunshine MINIs has club badges, though.

I like the metal ones too. In fact I have a couple on my boot.

The great thing about the magnetic badges is that I can change them out with my mood. They're not for everyone, but they are a cool idea.

Not the greatest pic

but here's my collection as of now. The familiar ones came from Motoring Badges, most of the unfamiliar ones I photoshopped and printed on to magnetic print paper I found at Hobby Lobby. Those were finished off w/ many coats of spray varnish. They look good at first but start curling on the edges after the heat gets to them for a while. no matter, they are cheap, easy, and fun to make. The BRG Owners club is a bought sticker on a magnetic back (also Hobby Lobby). The silver/red S is a recut Aesthetic Creations headrest sticker on a magnetic back.

Those are awesome! I've often wished there was a cheap way to make custom badges. Ed, over at CooperFlags does a great job. However, he loses his shorts every time he does them for us even though I try to get a high minimum order to help offset his costs.

I wish I could do my MMC#, my motoring ID, my board screen name, my MINI's name along with a bunch of other 'personal' ideas, but the cost would be insane.

I thought about doing something along the lines of what you've done. The Michael's by me has a 3" hole punch. I was going to laminate some laser print outs, punch them out and then stick some craft magnets on the back but I like your solution better. They wouldn't be as nice as the pro-versions, but at least they will meet my custom needs.

I think the greatest invention would be to come up with some sort of clear, waterproof, magnetic sleeve and per-perforated printer paper for folks to make their own.

The stuff from Hobby Lobby is called PrintMagnet, made by Master Magnetics, website www.magnetsource.com.

Unless I'm mistaken, magneticsource is not a real website. That domain is for sale. "PrintMagnet" is made by www.magnetsource.com (no "ic"). I've used similar material from Office Depot, but I think it's too thin and not a very strong magnet, especially for exterior use. I've had them blow away. It be thin (like paper) to fit into the printer. Instead, I've used sheet bumper sticker printer stock (has adhesive backing), then I attach it to sheet magnet material (about 1/16" thick and strong) from Hobby Lobby, then cut to size (round) with good results. I spray a clear lacquer to protect from moisture. It's road tested (3900+ miles roundtrip. Here's what it looks like:

I have a few left over.

Great collections, both of you!
I have a Swiss flag (for wife) a DSC Alert symbol (those two in the grille) and then the jolly roger on the side quarter panel. "Stay Right" and the Kiwi flag are in reserve for rotation. I'm now just looking to do my custom badges, if I can lick the UV protection issue.

BTW, love the MINI bulldog one!

That's one of my faves.

I'm a big fan of the simpler designs and bold colors.

That's not a Motoring File badge, right?
What gives?
I've seen the mascot on the MINI site, but...
