August 2006 Calgary MINI meet planning

Ok so it looks like we'll be going to Kananaskis on August 27th! :D

Above is the route map.
1. Meet at 10:00am at Shawnessy Chapters parking lot
Leave at about 10:30-10:45
Bigger map showing the location of Chapters - Click me

2. Break at Turner Valley

3. Option one:
Arrive at Point #3 at 12:45 for picnic
Bigger map of Kananaskis area
I want a little help here, does anyone have suggestions as to where we should stop for the picnic? I'm thinking maybe we should go up to Lower Kananaskis Lake and have the picnic at the spot marked "Lower Lake"?

Option two:
Eat at a restaurant at Turner Valley or Kananaskis?

Either way, we'll be done and back in Calgary at about 4pm.

Please reply if you're coming, and also the number of people in your car

I vote for the twisties and on the 20th. This time I'll come for sure. I'm finished with all my mods!

Well except for the Konis but that's when my shocks are done...

Its holding up ok. The cheap clamps are pretty rusty, but the pipe and muffler are in great shape. Got some stone chips on the bonnet stripes, otherwise the car is great.

I'm very curious as to how much faster your car is compared to a stock cooper like mine!
