Congratulations Kurt, well done!
Must feel nice to have won with so many good entries, yeah?!
Hope your time at the track this weekend goes equally well.

For every ounce of gas saved by a Toyota Pious, a gallon is wasted by the 20 cars behind it desperately attempting to pass because the typical Pious is driven by what appears to be a stoned, nearsighted geriatric who's also lost and confused and allergic to g-forces higher than .01 just to gain an extra 2 MPG. (paraphrased)
Thanks to all who voted for my entry! Yay Hoo!!!!!!!!
My secrets got lost somewhere amongst the infernal reaches of my computer!
I believe in the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principal. I borrowed an oil pastel (black of course) to use my years of drafting experience to lay down the skid marks. I cut scrap cardboard to get the front wheels to stay turned, and to jack up the inside rear tire. The antennea happened to be bent the correct way. I had some experience with an autocross diorama:
The cone is an extra from that project, I fabbed a master, and resin cast copies.
Getting the best angle to avoid seeing the lack of a driver was a challenge.
The irony is:
>I was thinking of getting a Nikon badass camera like both Daves, but reality bit, and this Canon PowerShot kicks ass (butt will never kiss one )!
>Swifty was dirty... quite dirty because of the cinder dust on our roads.
>it's at sunset, but not a feature.
>poor Dave B., I'm sorry I kicked your butt so well. I'm going to enjoy it as long as possible.
>poor speednut, he advised me about getting a kickass camera, was really helpful, and he spent so much time Photochomping his entry.
>As an award winning model car builder, this alledged kit was too easy to build, and is the only diecast I have ever built. Yes, I modded it with Bare metal foil on the door handles and exhaust tip, straight pin gear knob, paint detailed interior, and ground off the screw thingys off the bottom. And it wins this!
Thanks again to all who voted. Those who did for me, checks are in the mail.

"it's at sunset, but not a feature" Oh, but it is a feature. The lighting helped pull it off, it's natural, not studio. That was one of the first things I noticed was the sunset lighting...but I'm strange like that. I have synesthesia.
Thank you for the kind comment. I really don't like taking pictures during broad daylight.

Thank you jwardell! I'm tired of taking the same ol' shots myself, always good to experiment with something new.

This month's entries are about due. I haven't taken any shots (yet), so everyone has better odds.
