Hey Jim,
Did Chibi S get any action that day or did she just sit there making the fence area look better? Just a shame that her photo is static.

For every ounce of gas saved by a Toyota Pious, a gallon is wasted by the 20 cars behind it desperately attempting to pass because the typical Pious is driven by what appears to be a stoned, nearsighted geriatric who's also lost and confused and allergic to g-forces higher than .01 just to gain an extra 2 MPG. I like how tight you're getting in the first three, but it seems like that is came at the expense of having the cars seem like they were on a course, rather than going across a parking lot (no cones in the photo area seen right around the car that the driver's are visibly reacting too). There's some nice loading up of the suspension captured in the third, and it leaves the feeling a cone is just outside the frame.
Photos 4-6 capture the feel of an autocross better with more cones in the foreground.

Nope, I run around all day shooting. Besides, I SUCK at AutoX! Plus, I got it out of my system in my "Datsun 510 Days".
Coming out to Santana Row next Saturday? We (MINI's) are now officially included! We'll have to do something about some Action shots!

my initial reaction. :impatient
Thanks, I agree. I was trying to dodge a Port-a-Potty that was in the background of the first three. HATE those things!!

Gotcha. That explains it. I'm totally with you in doing anything necessary to keep them out of the photo, because even if the rest is perfect, the port-a-potty is going to stick out like a sore thumb.

I sense a good 510 story I'll have to ask you about sometime later on.
Saturday may be a possibility. Ms. Speednut has a large honey-do list, but I'm trying to get it whittled down during this week so a Saturday excursion won't be out of the question. And yes, I'm anxious to pick your brains for some action shots.
