Thought I'd share these two pictures from last weekend, when I played around with a Nikon SU-800, two remote SB-800s, and a blue gel filter:

The speedometer picture only came out so-so. Stands and clamps for the flashes are on my wish list - then I'll have more flexibility in positioning the lights. They were just sitting in the passenger seat and the center console while I made these pictures.

I really like both of those shots. Look great. Keep those macro coming... I'll dig up my old macro shots sometime. I'm sure there is a thread on NAM where they're already posted... good work.
I did take a couple myself the other night that I *think* are along the same line (it's been a few days since I saw these), but were taken while driving (bad Brian, I know...) and with a non-macro lens.
I did post this to the "night shots" thread earlier in the week, so you're not seeing double. :-)
Here is my contribution not yet "true macro" but I did take some steps to get closer using filters until I can update my macro lens.
Photo 2 was taken in my drive way I have the uncropped version if the mods need proof I was behaving myself. I'll have some more ready to post toward the end of the month, but I need to make a photo contest decsion first.

Hmmm, someone else was playing with the OBC test modes too, eh? I really like the sharpness of the first photo. Nice sig photo update too.
I look forward to seeing your entry for this month!

Sorry, but I only post pictures for a day or two before taking them down. Image theft is a growing problem on Bimmerforums, where members' pictures have been appearing in Performance BMW magazine without their permission.

Just shrink the photos down to a size and image quality that would not be useful for anything other than casually viewing on the web.
Threads based on discussing photos become meaningless without the photo and people in the future might be interested in viewing the thread.

Well, I unfortunately understand what you mean, I've had some of my work Posted on NAM grabbed by a vendor and used in advertising WITHOUT permission or even notification, I just stopped recommending them and will never give them my business. There are bad apples in every bunch. BTW if someone uses a photo I take in a sig I don't care but when you use my work to make you money and don't have the courtesy to ask permission or even acknowledge the photographer that gets me mad.
For me photography is a hobby I enjoy and NAM provides me an outlet to try new things and inspire others, and like wise be inspired. I'd love it if you took Yucca's suggestion and posted thumbnails (100-200 pixel wide or so) but if not I do understand.
Pictures are back up, with minor edits. See first post.
