A lot of firsts...(video)

First post on this forum, first time at the Dragon, first time using my ChaseCam and my first edited video.

You can check out my Dragon video on the server space provided by mielnicki. In "PepperS" folder. See this thread:

or now on Google Video

For those looking into getting a video system for your car, here's my set-up:
  • ChaseCam - Remote Camera
  • Sony DCR-HC32 - Camcorder
  • Pinnacle 700-PCI card - Video capture card
  • Pinnacle Studio Plus 10.5 - Editing/video creation software
I have the suction mount for the ChaseCam and it mounts on any gloss surface on the car. The sunroof makes a great in-car mounting surface. The DCR-HC32 fits nicely in the large cup holder, so I can actually view the video real-time (not that I'd do that while driving). The Pinnacle hardware/software is great to work with. I just installed it today and I was able to make my first video in about 4 hours. The quality of the DVD I burned is very good - I dumbed down the video on the server so the quality is pretty crappy. I can't wait to see how future videos will turn out when I actually sit down and read the instructions!
