Winner - May Photo Contest - Sponsored by VacuCam

After a very close vote, scooby is the winner of the May Photo Contest (May Flowers). Honorable mention for May goes to speednut.

scooby's winning photo is shown below.

As the winner of May's Photo Contest sponsored by VacuCam scooby will receive either a VacuCam Tow-hook Camera Mount OR a Detailing DVD.

Thanks OctaneGuy!

If that doesn't appeal to you, you can opt to receive my detailing DVD.

In either case, the Tow Hook mount is there to increase your shooting options or the DVD is there to help you maximize the shine on your MINI for the next photo shoot!

Shipping and handling not included. Well, handling maybe, but definitely not shipping. If you make it out here at somepoint though, count on a couple nights of photos and other activities.

Well done Scooby, congratulations!

Thank you to everyone who took the time out to vote on all of the great photos submitted. I must confess that I liked several photos better than mine.

That's two months in a row that I was so very close.
I think I'm just going to have to resort to purchasing some of OctaneGuy's great products. The VacuCam is too cool! I'm grateful for his sponsorship of the photo contests.

I've uploaded the larger size of my photo to my gallery. For those of you that were wondering, I used a lensbaby lens which gives it somewhat of a motion look. Other than the excessive saturation applied in ACR, there was no PS work done beyond a crop, sharpen, and save for the web. If you have an SLR, the lensbaby lens is fantastic tool to unleash your creativity with. It also forces you to slow down since it requires everything to be done manually (metering, focusing, aperture rings, etc).

I anxiously await this month's contest challenge!
Cheers,
Dave

Congrats... I guess... I mean, I'm not a sore loser or nothing, but... well, you know... ok.

Nicely done. Great shot. Actually pegged yours for the winner when I first saw it.

Cheers!

Congrats Scooby!

I'll be sending you a PM shortly. Thanks to everyone for their nice comments on my VacuCam products (in this thread and the original contest thread).
