Well, since I never have been able to get a decent motion shot, I figured I try some stuff in Photoshop. I downloaded the free trial a couple days ago and have been playing with it a lot. Just came aross the "motion" filter so I thought I'd give it a try. Tell me what you think .
Awesome! Yes, it is cheating though. ;) The real trick is to tie down the accelerator pedal and leap out of the car, snap a picture, and then catch the car again!
The motion filter is "ok" but there are issues that make it stick out as photoshop.
Notice how the spoiler/backend and the front end have both motion blurred into the background? The wheels also have this "shaken" feel to them.
The lighting of the car is also off. The illumination of the car doesn't look motion blurred. A true motion should would not have those short hotspots, they would have been smooth longer streaks.
It's not a bad attempt for a filtered shot, but the "shaken" feel the filter gives to it keeps it from being totally convincing.
Just wasn't going fast enough for my tastes!
I think it looks a bit closer, but the wheels still look off to me (too shaved).

This is what I use for my signature. The Hyper blue MCS I snagged from the internet before I had my car. I then turned it into what mine was going to look like. I then dropped my son's pix in for fun.
