Wish you were close enough to take a couple shots of the PH/S. . . .

sounds like a good time for a roadtrip u 2? Ah, married people, I'm glad I just have a hot girlfriend that I can end the relationship with a snap of a finger and not pay through the nose for it! I wouldn't do that though, I care too much for her and our future together.
Okay back on topic!
Those pics are cool! Some shots are almost like Chili Red, but then some of the darker ones look like velvet red... ahh good thinkin' MINIUSA!
Once again the NOTORIUS DiD shows us amateurs how done!
Chili
BTW that's DiD's nickname that I coined!

That really is a nice color but I stick to Royal Grey as the best color offered from MINI.
Ooooh....I saw the Royal Grey color at Long Beach MINI this week...BEAUTIFUL!! Have yet to see Solar Red in person. Great pix, Dave! Congrats on your new baby!
pic 3 has a lovely liquid texture to it. very nicely done. i don't think the others really showcase the color as well as i would do it. but as you know, i'll complain about pics being too dark until the cows come home
jarid: let me know if you still don't see the photos. no on else seems to be having that issue and the host is reliable.
Yucca & PPE: I may yet figure out a way to get down your way. One of these times I'll make it to the dragon.

That's what I have been noticing too. Solar Red has a lot of range to it.
racingdynamics: I could probably do that. Look for something later in the week.
scott and clo: thanks. I'm planning on getting out to more events, so hopefully soon I'll see you guys again.
hafid: solar red has actually been a very surprising color to me now that I've had it for a few days. It totally changes character in different lights (well then again I'm use to dark silver ). Sometimes its very dark, at other times it's lighter and there is some orange to it. Then again, you know that I like things a bit darker.
K4KAS: I'm not sure exactly which part of the headlight you're speaking of, but my guess is it's a reflection of some sort.
Cool, more nice pics!
I agree with Hafid's adjective, the images do seem to have a "liquid" feel to them. In fact, I'd say that quite a few of your pics seem to have that texture to them.
We're they with the VR? Tripod? Small aperture? ('cause they look so sharp )

Kind of a stick looking reflection?

My guess is it's a reflection of the overhead "beams" or pipes one usually sees in garages. You can see that reflection sort of continued on the bonnet. (it leads toward the badge.)
The reflection doesn't bother me though. I think it helps delineate the Cooper's curves.
Hope to see the car in person sometime soon!

All four were hand held with the 70-200 F/2.8 and had VR on and were shot RAW at F/4.5, 1/60 shutter, and ISO 200.

You can get the silver roof without the stripe. That stripe is $100 upcharge and I have had a lot of positive feedback on it. Too each their own (it is MINI after all).

To be honest, i wasn't totally into the stripes. But the more i see it (especially in your awesome shots) It's realy growing on me. And i love the little hump in the hood, and that "stripe" really makes it stand out.
I want to see a SR in person so bad now!
