November Photo Contest Topic

This is the 11th installment of the monthly photo contest on NAM. We're trying to encourage members to go out and shoot *new* photos for the contest.

Follow this link for the:Rules and Submission Instructions Only photos submitted to the contest gallery will be entered into the contest. Do not post your photos to this thread.

November's topic :: Driving

Interpret that how you will, keeping in mind that the photos must be MINI related and that only one photo per member per month may be submitted.

Not "MOTORING"?? Surely you're not looking for pics of cars other than MINIs, so... are we to capture whatever it is that distinguishes driving from motoring?

Did I understand it right that it should be a new picture but it can be one you've taken in the past?

yes, "should" and "can" are the correct words. Just don't make "can" a habit.

Well I was too busy to submit a pic for voting, but I thought I'd throw up a picture for everyone to enjoy anyway - me motoring along at 30 degree farenheight in a loaner MINI convertable while mine was at the dealer for something minor (back in March):

Please note that I took that picture myself, which is fairly hard as it turns out! It's hard to tell it's in a MINI except if you look at the reflection in the glasses at full size so it probably was not a good submission anyway, but I like it.

I'm planning on posting the new topic tomorrow. I generally try to post it the day after the photo contest winner is announced from the previous month, so they get their day and their due before we shift to the next topic.

remember you don't have to be in a Mini to motor....you can be walking down the street....
