Carrizo Plain National Monument (2 MINIs / 4 pics)

Yesterday I drove up to Carrizo Plain searching for a possible subject for this month's "Spring Motoring" challenge. Wouldn't you know it, no flowers!

The land is still awesome however. Below are four photographs I snapped while there.

Thanks for the feedback.

The MINIs handles okay on the dirt. Since mine is lowered however, I kind of had to be careful around some of the holes.

The detail I like the most about these shots is that, due to the redish sand dirt roads, the tires have huge contrast with their grooves, and really display their nice tread patterns!

Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't paid attention to it. You've given me something to keep in mind in the future.

By the way, I noticed on your Flickr account that you have a LOMO Fisheye. Do you find yourself using it often? (I have an LC-A.)

I just got the fisheye a few weeks ago, I took two rolls with it just walking around the neighborhood. I haven't been to any event or place to take photos in general in a while but I will certainly use it next time I can. It's nothing great, but can be fun.

Thanks.
Used Nikon D70 with 70-300mm zoom.

I was just noticing something. Do any of you think it looks kind of funky that the driver has only her window open in the last pic? I mean, is it off balance?
