Pics from Sedona, AZ

can I post these here? the only thing MINI related is we drove up in a MINI!

went hiking there yesterday...pics are taken from bell rock, as well as of the church of the holy christ - built in 1954, with the design help from frank lloyd wright. oh, and that's my friend alan who flew in for the weekend from san jose.

lighting was odd...maybe b/c it was late in the day? some angles seemed too bright and hazy, others just right. i don't have too much flexibility with the canon s45 but you do what you can I suppose.

hey Hafid,

what kind of camera/lens are you using? I'm a portrait guy myself and it takes a lot to make me really like landscapes, but those are pretty damn sweet!

Really nice pics. The eighth one stands out with its contrasting reds and blues. The angles in Pic 10 really make the photograph.

As I was passing through northern AZ on Saturday, I kept thinking how scenic the land is.

Hafid - great photos. I have similiar photos as well, but not of that quality Sedona is a nice area but very hot in the summer time. I was there about year and half ago. that house is taking a long time to build, since I remember seeing it under construction. but it is huge.

Haf, I am very familiar with all the areas you so beautifully shot in Sedona. I love that church!

However, I cannot FATHOM the humongous house being built....UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH! It is certainly NOT MINI, is it?

Haf, I keep thinking and never posting that you have an incredible eye for composition. I guess part of it is taking tons of pics and throwing out the less good ones, but setting up the shots is 90% of the art.

Anyway, the Sin City MINI Club is doing a tax relief weekend run to Sedona (4/15-4/17). If you happen to be in the area, stop by and say "hi".
Since you never did so at AMVIV...

Agro.

Agro, thanks for the comments, and yes, I can't believe I never sat down to chat with you at Vegas. How's your pulley holding up? ;)

I'd love to join you but I'll be out of the country. We were talking about doing a "meet in the middle meet" sort of thing...may this summer to escape the heat?
