RE: the top three pictures in the garage
In the color versions, your auto white balance was not kind. You probably should have shot them on incandecent white balance (it would fix the orange/yellow tinge). This can also be corrected in photoshop by adjusting the white point. That issue aside, I like the photos and the (low) perspective. I might have cropped a little more out of the top of the frame though to get rid of a blown out light or two.

RE: the next group
I like these a lot. The one thing to watch for is in some of these you're shooting from the shadow side of the car. It's hard to get good detail that way. I would also recommend using a fill flash in that situation.

(sorry, gotta cut these comments short. more later)

I MUST have that mesh grill. Please tell me where you got it...and soon. I will be checking this thread every 2 minutes until I find out!

edit: never mind-- I couldn't wait and checked all of your old posts. I can't believe you did that yourself for what looks to be from a $7.00 piece of aluminum used for gutters! Truly awesome. Is that on top of the stock grill or did you removed the stock grill first? You should seriously consider making these and selling it here on NAM. Based on the cost of the materials it would seem like quite a good profit margin.

your grille

Very nice pics. Did you modify your grill or did you find a vendor for chrome aero grilles?

If I had an S, I'd buy that grill off you!
Aside from the compliments on the grill, the photo of it is my favorite.

Thanks for the compliments guys, much appreciated

Thanks for the advice too.

Right the scoop is standard black but i have put a Carbon Fibre lip on to it which literally sticks on top of the standard scoop - this can be bought from here - http://www.bbrgti.com/mini.php

The mesh in the scoop is DIY mesh - ie sheet of 5ft mesh and cut to the the shape of the hole in the hood/bonnet

The bumper and lower bumper Aero Grill is plastic. To fit you have to remove the original grill, then remove the slats and out chroming until your left with the skeleton standard grill. Then what you need to do is stick the chrome look grill on top of the standard skeleton - it comes with 3M tape but i also used bath rubber sealant so that water doesnt work it loose- trust me this grill wont go anywhere fast

The lower grill simply fits over the original - no need to cut or do anything other than ensure the surface is very clean - again i used bath rubber sealant to enhance its fixture.

The grille can be bought here - http://www.eurocarparts.com/

The side lights are of course "white" LED although that pic looks a great blue to me ;)

Right there you go now lets see some - i am yet to see another mini on here or mini2.com with the mods i have done to the front - mainly coz i kept them a secret although it can be worked out fairly easily.

cheers again

OTOH, when I looked at these, I assumed the color shift was intentional. And I liked it!

Composition looks great but you definately can't trust auto white balance at night, I took the liberty of adjusting the first one in photoshop really quick, still not quite right but you get the idea. Hope you don't mind!

Overall nicely done.

gives a bit of warmth to the picture in my view so i guess im glad i didnt get the balance of color perfect

works well as the black seems to stand out more than if the color of the lights were less orange/yellow

Now DiD about you coming over to the UK to do some motion pics ........

As long as y'all are photoshopping that pic, why not take out that air freshener from the rear view?

Was the mesh grille listed under "trim and chrome accessories" on the eurocarparts.com website?

That picture loaded for me earlier, but it's not loading for me now.

I did like it though. Did you do anything special while taking it?
