I couldn't get a very good angle on this one:

BA's maintenance facility was right next to our hotel at Heathrow. They also have a jet crossing, where they hold up traffic while jets cross between the main airport and the facility. I wanted to get a picture with that, but they weren't cooperating.

That is a DC-3 at the NTPS in Mojave where there is a large boneyard.

MINI and the busiest tower in the world

It's AirVenture 2009, Oshkosh, WI . Behind that red MINI there are more than 12,000 airplanes. Will get closer next time

Looks like that DC-3 is burning the same fuel as those guys at the background. Am I right?

This DC-3 looks to have had a complete renovation, The engines have been upgraded to the Turbo Conversion, there is also a foward turret mounted on it, Weather Radar ?. I am not all to familar with these planes.
My reason for the DC/ MD 10 and 11 Comments was that is what I am qualified on and now the company I am with has more then a few parked in the desert these days due to the slow economy

KOSH

This MINI made it as close to the airplane parking as possible. Probably because her owner is a pilot. I crossed little creek, climbed the fence and took these pictures.

There is a parking area with hundreds of RVs (flying kind)

Alexandria Field, NJ

Took my MINI for a ride this weekend. Stopped at Alexandria Field for a moment. My MINI likes to be around small airports.

A good shot, but my guess is it's photo chopped, as i dont see the shawdow of the plane, and he loks to be way off centerline for landing.

Look at the scooter on the left where is the front half of the front wheel? also looks like a kick stand by the drivers left foot. The scooter near the camera has something supporting it near the back tire. If the plane is going for that runway he has minimal flaps where as he would be full flaps for decent rate on short final especially with clearing required at the landing.

I saw something about that runway before, it's for real. The shadow of the airplane would be over the edge because it's higher. It's hardly off the centerline much. Good point about the flaps, couldn't the pilot have to change that immediately after this point? Curious about the far left chop line, note the front wheel of scooter. And not a good way to save on a haircut.
