Took Maggie out to the track Wednesday and had some fun with some other two other R56 JCWs. I was pretty amazed to be able to keep ahead of them considering the power they have stock. I'm sure the Wilwood brakes with track pads made a huge difference though, because I had zero fade all day long and I was definitely using them hard.
I also found out my engine mounts were shot before this event, made it hard to accelerate out of corners but I managed to keep it smooth and to keep as much speed throughout the turns.
Oh yeah, for about 3 seconds, I was faster than a CGT! LOL, that thing was something to hear and see. It passed me like I was parked...but the sound of it roaring by was amazing.

Looks like a fun track for a MINI - except there look to be an awful lot of hard cement walls! Always good to see something like a Porsche being used for what it was designed for. Nice pics too!
