March 2009 // Photo Topic

March will be the 51st NAM Monthly Photo Contest.

Follow this link for the: Rules and Submission Instructions The deadline for entry is noon pacific on the 25th of this month.

The photo contest is held to encourage people to take new photos with the topic in mind. As a result, please do not submit any photos taken before the contest topic was announced (see contest rules regarding EXIF data). Photos posted to this thread do not count. You must upload photos to the monthly photo contest gallery in order to be entered.

March Photo Topic :: Natural Light

Interpret that how you will, keeping in mind that the photos must be MINI related and that only one photo per member per month may be submitted.

Hmmm, this is seemingly obvious at first, but the broadness of the topic leaves a lot of room for creative shooting. This should be one I can participate in for a change.

Amen to that! Great Topic!
I'm gonna have to dust off my camera and get back in the game. I just spent Jan & Feb recovering from a tonsillectomy! This is a good reason to charge up the 'ol batteries. This month should have plenty of entries~

OH NO!!! No artificial lighting! Haha, this should be fun. I'll have to keep my "light" bag in the car for this one.

I wouldn't worry - you have a great sense of how to use light, whether it comes from the sun or out of your "light" bag. The sun is rather less portable, that's all.

Maaaaaaaan! I completely forgot to enter my picture this month. I even went out a few times to get some to choose from (including earlier this morning). GRRRRRR

I will see if I can enter one I have on my photobucket account since I am away from my laptop right now.

I wasn't particularly inspired by the topic, natural light is more of an techique than a subject. I also wasn't feeling well this weekend, so I never got to take a picture. However, entries are still open and I'd just taken a photo I thought could fit, so I submitted it, even though its supposedly closed.

Ah - but surely the challenge is to make it the subject?!
