Unfortunately in this case, I think Nikon wins. I don't think any of Canon's DSLR's have geo tagging. (The Rebels might, but I've never shot with a Rebel.)
I will say that the video features of the 5D mkII are WAAAAAAAY better than the D90 (not to mention it's full frame... WOO HOO!), but it's way out of your price range.
Hey, the Nikon D90 has 12.3 MP and is $1000. The video is still way better than my Sony Handycam thats a few years old. I don't think you can go wrong with the D90.

Just remember that Nikons that allow for geotagging require you to purchase a GPS receiver. I don't believe there are any dSLRs out there that have a GPS receiver built in. They simply support the geotag filed in the exif data.
Getting the new Apple iLife Suite? Now that iPhoto can sort by geo-tagging as well as face recognition.

Has anyone really used this feature on any camera yet? I can easily visualize getting to a location and then having to find unobstructed view of the sky and then waiting 5 minutes until I get a cold startup GPS fix. I guess if I was used to view cameras, it would not be a big deal. Just wondering if this is really ready for prime time or would just be a big hassle?
