Picked up my 1538 GP 'GiusePpe' last Thursday which I love Yesterday I took it on a novice track day at Brands Hatch, watch what happened to the red BMW on the last lap of the day... We were all very lucky!
www.usminiclub.com Obie: my '05 MINI Cooper - Jet Black, Premium and Sport packages, chrome side vents with white/clear repeaters, M7 STPs, K&N 57i intake, Megan Racing MINI Cooper cat-back exhaust, TSW engine damper, Alta 19mm anti-sway bar, Ian Cull anti-nanny circuit.
Thanks for all your comments The green light was when the cruise control was accidentally turned on but it wasn't actually active. The BMW stopped before hitting the barriers so was very lucky, we were worried it would hit the barrier and be sent across the track back into our path. I think the yellow flags were either out too late or the drivers decided to ignore them, it was quite a shock to say the least!
Well as a first time change from the stock run-flats, they're great! I haven't autoxed before so I can't really give a race perspective but from the street its a definite change. The ride is a little smoother when going over bumpy roads as the regular tires absorb a little more of the shock. I do notice that I do lose a little crispness in the turn-in because of the stiffness of the run-flats but I enjoy the tires nonetheless due to the comfort. I also enjoy the extra 20mm of width to the tire in terms of looks and it is very slightly a little bit taller than the stock tires, so it closes that wheel gap in the wheel wells that much more. However, I think I have lost some mpg's due to the increased contact patch, maybe around 1-2 mpgs. Oh well, there's a trade off for comfort and looks over preformance.
So, would a track junky be willing to explain what happened here to us? It looks like something caused the front end to go the wrong direction, then they applied the brakes which cause the rear end to come out. But what cause the front end to go the wrong direction in the first place?

I'm not an expert, but it looks like the rear broke first, but I don't know why. Drifters do this on purpose to get a drift started. The mistake was panic braking and not knowing how to recover quicker.
Count yourself lucky!
