Don't have winter here either ...other than really cold rain and mud.

We might get "winter" in late February or March, maybe...not every year though.

.....could you maybe come up with a more national (or international) topic?

Regardless of what y'all think, we DO have winter here in SoCal.
It may not be what you's guys are accustomed to, but we share the same seasons as the rest of North America.

There are many possibilities..

Hmmm... it's summer here in Australia. I'll have to get very imaginative! That's OK - nothing like a challenge!

I need some clarification, the theme is Winter Driving.
This is Driving:

This is Parking (though you can't tell ):

It's like you drive on a parkway but park on a driveway sort of thing.

And, now, would anyone like to expound on the differences between winter driving and winter motoring?

I sent one in too... and I have winter now. They're predicting 11 inches of snow overnight.

11 inches is serious snow! I was wondering where you were, then I saw "Washington State" and it figures - don't you either get 11 inches of snow or 11 inches of rain each night?!
I remember driving through he Cascade Mountains one March with the walls of snow each side of the road higher than the car. I was impressed...

I'm on the other side, away from the Cascades. I believe that we are technically still in the rockies...

Should also add that we're at a higher elevation than in Seattle and we get colder temperatures. It's supposed to get down to six below and stay there for a couple of weeks as of tonight.

Thank God my MINI has heated seats!

Hi Buzzcut1 - I happened across your photo on another forum here that directed you to this one. To enter the photo in the monthly competition, you need to upload it to a special gallery - see the "Rules and Submission Instructions" in the first post in this thread.
Nice pic and nice scenery BTW!

That's what I get for saying we don't have winter here.

All this weather makes me a bit nervous as we have summer only tires on the MINIs. They're not supposed to work to well in freezing temps or snow.

The weather gods must have known this month's theme. We got enough snow to shut our airport down. It's the most snow we have had in nearly 30 years!

I tried for a sunny shot, I was hoping for more surf than this one. I've thought of a better shot since then, so I'm not going to be using this (it was taken on the 5th).
