June Photo Contest Topic

June will be the 42nd NAM Monthly Photo Contest.

Follow this link for the: Rules and Submission Instructions The deadline for entry is noon pacific on the 25th of this month.

The photo contest is held to encourage people to take new photos with the topic in mind. As a result, please do not submit any photos taken before the contest topic was announced (see contest rules regarding EXIF data).

June topic :: Contrast

Interpret that how you will, keeping in mind that the photos must be MINI related and that only one photo per member per month may be submitted.

EDIT: the winner of the monthly photo contest poll will receive $25.00 for their submission if they allow NAM use the image in the NAM Alliance magazine.

The good, the bad, and the ugly.
Now I'll have to read my camera manual to figure out how to change the contrast.

FINALLY!

A topic I have a clue of what to do with~

Sorry, but the last few month's topics have left me high and dry

And I've finally gotten to know my camera, we had to ease into it, but things are going well and getting better.

Happy June to ALL!

Deadline is almost here! Don't be a space (like me).

Oh... NOW there is money for the winner. When is "sunset" going to be the theme again?

Some quirky things going on with this month's contest...

First, a big, sudden, and unexpected spike in early votes (day before yesterday, I think) for a pic that IMHO doesn't appear to be one of the obvious standouts; then

Pic #5 suddenly disappears and in its place, a cryptic note (probably deserved based on reasons that are none of my bees wax, but an interesting mystery nonetheless).

Thankfully, the cream always tends to naturally rise to the top anyway.

NOTE: I am just the messenger.

The photo submitted was in violation of the photo contest rules and this was realized after the poll was created. The poll could not be edited to reflect this change because some users had already cast their votes.

re: Cryptic note
We try to be funny, but sometimes it doesn't come out that way. So we just end up thinking that we're funny. Even though we know we're really not.
