Hi everyone! I'm interested in buying my first dslr camera. I've been looking at the Canon Xti and Nikon D40, and maybe the Canon XT. I know this post is quite old, but if you haven't gotten your camera yet you could check out keh.com. It's a well known source of used photo equipment.
You won't save a ton of money, but they do have a good return policy so you don't have to worry about getting stuck with a lemon.
