AMVIV5 Photo show

Over in the AMVIV forum, I have just started a thread to take signups for the 2nd annual AMVIV photography show. It's not a competition, there are no prizes other than the admiration of your peers.
If you bring photos to AMVIV with you, we will supply double-sided tape and a 20x30 inch piece of foamboard. You collect your board at the SCMC booth are (near where you check in for the event) and get the board back to us by 4pm on the Friday afternoon.
We'll put the pictures up in the room where the "Meet The MINIacs Mixer" is held (with more light on them this year) and have them back at the booth in the parking garage for you to collect on Saturday morning.

If there are any questions of suggestions, please ask/offer them in this thread.

Would I get better milage if I had less fun?

How about a Flickr meet-up?
There are a few of us Flickrites that it might be cool to hook up.

At the moment, I only have 1 person signed up for the photo show. If I don't get a few more signups this week, we're going to have to drop the photo show.

Hey Andrew, since this'll be my first time participating in the photo show, I'm curious as to the procedure for that night.

What are the foam boards displayed on? Easels? Tacked onto a wall?
At what time do we set up our work?
How will the photography be lit?

I'm getting excited as you can tell.

Juan, when you check at the event registration, tell them that you are in the photo show. You'll be given a 20x30 form board, and if you need to borrow tape, we'll have rolls of double-sided tape available for use.

Get the board back to the SCMC booth by 4pm on Friday so we can get it set up in the mixer room before it opens to the MINI public.

We're going to use double-sided tape to mount the foam board to the walls in the room. Light will be provided by the in-ceiling can lights, hopefully with a bit more output than last year. After the mixer is over, you can take your pics with you, or we'll take any that are still there when we break everything down to the SCMC booth on Saturday. You can swing by and get them from there until we start breaking down the booth for the dinner late on Saturday afternoon.

Sounds good Andrew!
Oh, I'll have a foam board all prepped by the time I get there on Thursday.

Thanks for getting back to me.
